Mr. Koons is giving "blue balls" to admirable works from the Mona Lisa to a Picasso from his own private collection at the Gagosian Gallery in Chelsea, NYC. The "gazing balls" are intended to give an expanded perspective of one's own view of the work as well as the surrounding evironment with regard to the venue and other viewers.
"It's Duchampian", Koons states.
Alas, life imitates art imitates art imitates art.
Koons' "Masterpiece Theatre" is on view at the Gagosian until 23 Dec 2015. What do you think?
